Earliest Einstein Relativity Paper Brings $1.2 Million

NEW YORK — Albert Einstein’s longest and earliest manuscript on the theory of relativity has been sold at auction for $1.2 million to an undisclosed buyer. The unpublished 72-page handwritten document, which is believed to have been written in 1912, was sold Wednesday at Sotheby’s.
