Prize-Winning Poem

The editors and staff of Spectrum, the UC Santa Barbara Undergraduate literary magazine, were pleased to see Wanda Coleman’s “Poetry Lesson Number One” again given pride of place (The Book Review, Nov. 22). This poem was first published in our 1986 issue, where it was awarded our poetry prize.

Submissions of poetry and prose for our 1988 issue are being received now and until January 15, 1988.
