4--Roy Rogers rode “The Smartest Horse in the World,” Trigger, now dead and mounted in Roger’s Victorville museum.
5--Dale Evans rode Buttermilk.
6--Bill “Hopalong Cassidy” Boyd rode Topper.
7--Clayton Moore rode Silver; the same horse was Thomas Mitchell’s (Gerald O’Hara) steed in “Gone With the Wind.”
8--Tom Mix rode Tony.
9--Tonto rode White Feller, Paint and then Scout.
10--Marshall Matt Dillon’s horse didn’t have a name on “Gunsmoke” because Westerners rarely were sentimental enough to give their horses names.
