SOS (“Save Our Southwest”), the first official fund-raising event for the Southwest Museum, raised $10,000 on Monday. The benefit dinner at Pasadena’s trendy Cafe Jacoulet was organized--in part--to fend off a possible takeover of the Mount Washington museum by the Los Angeles County Museum of Science and Industry. Southwest Museum officials said additional fund-raisers will be scheduled.
