Truck Hits School Bus; 10 Hurt
Ten students suffered minor to moderate injuries today when a truck rear-ended a school bus on the San Diego Freeway during rush hour this morning, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
The injuries were described mostly as complaints of pain, Sgt. Ernie Garcia said. The 10 students were taken to area hospitals for examination. The U.S. Mail tractor-trailer rig collided with the Los Angeles school bus, carrying a total of 26 students to the Brentwood magnet school, at 7:39 a.m. near La Cienega Boulevard, Garcia said.
