MOVING RIGHT ALONG: Let’s talk reunions. Santana has already begun rehearsals for a comeback album. Due sometime next year, it’s slated to feature Carlos Santana, Gregg Rolie and Neal Schon. Meanwhile, ex-Styx member Tommy Shaw says band members are not only on speaking terms again, but are “cautiously optimistic” about working on a new project. . . . Bad news for ex-Clash drummer Topper Headon, who’s been sentenced to 15 months in jail on a heroin charge. . . . The Coconut Teaszer is hosting a “Musicians With Heart for Tots Without Toys” benefit Monday night. Clubgoers bringing “safe” toys will be admitted for a minimal admission charge. The cast of performers scheduled to appear include Bonnie Bramlett, Charlie Sexton, Dr. John, members of Guns N’ Roses, Jackie Lomax, Derf Scratch, Marcy Levy and more. The show begins around 9:30 p.m. . . . In the import bins: Local boy Bruce Joyner has a new album, “Hot Georgia Nights,” just out on the Paris-based New Rose Records. The record includes such songs as “Ghosts,” “Sweet Southern Summertime” and a terrific new tune, “The World Needs a Little More Love,” which features REM’s Peter Buck on guitar. . . . And thanks to Kent Beyda of Los Angeles, we stand corrected--the Mad Peck was the world’s first rock-cartoonist critic, not Pedro Bell, as we wrote a couple of weeks ago.
