Local News in Brief : Costa Mesa : W.G. Howald Reelected to Coast District Helm
Walter G. Howald has been reelected president of Coast Community College District.
The district, which has its headquarters in Costa Mesa, governs Orange Coast College, Golden West College, Coastline Community College and KOCE public television station.
An attorney from Newport Beach, Howald was first elected to the board in 1985. His first one-year term as president began last January. He will now serve through December, 1988.
Sherry L. Baum of Seal Beach was elected vice president, succeeding Armando Ruiz. Baum is currently on the Orange County United Way board of directors and is active in the League of Women Voters and the American Cancer Society of Orange County.
