‘Saving the Children’
“Cuba’s infant mortality rate, now 13.2 per thousand, has dropped to its lowest level ever . . . (and) would be down to 10 per thousand in the next few years.” That Reuters item, quoting Health Minister Julio Teja, was carried unobtrusively on Page 13 in your Dec. 11 edition.
I wonder how many readers even noticed it, or realized that this is momentous and exciting news. Those frightful Marxist Cubans must be doing something right!
