The group’s first album, issued a year ago on the local Silver Records label, sold upwards of 1,000 copies, even though it was only available at their shows.

The veteran new wave group, whose hits include “The Walls Came Down” and “In the River,” will perform at the California Performing Arts Centre in North Park starting at 9 p.m.

“91X has been an enthusiastic supporter of the band and our music from the beginning,” said Jim Goodwin, the Call’s keyboardist. “We can’t think of a better or more appropriate way to bring in the new year than to be playing in San Diego for 91X.”
