Long Beach : Better Child Care Sought
Acknowledging that Long Beach child care services and facilities “are not adequate to meet current demand,” the City Council this week adopted a child care policy.
By approving the resolution, the council agreed to hire a child care coordinator and become “a catalyst towards attaining the goal of readily accessible and affordable, quality child care.”
“Child care availability has not kept pace with the increasing rate of single-parent families,” the resolution says.
