San Marcos Man Sought in Slaying
A 25-year-old San Marcos man was shot to death after he and a roommate became embroiled in an argument, the sheriff’s department reported Sunday.
Leonardo Macedo was pronounced dead at Palomar Memorial Hospital after he was shot a number of times, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
The spokesman said Macedo was shot late Saturday, allegedly by Anselmo Ortiz, 26, a roommate who lived with Macedo in the 200 block of West San Marcos Boulevard. Other roommates said that Macedo, a cook, and Ortiz, a gardener, had been quarreling before the shooting, the spokesman said.
Ortiz fled the scene and has yet to be found, the spokesman said.
