Pepperdine Has A Marshall Plan: Revert to Winning
The Pepperdine basketball team, not at its best lately and a loser of two straight games, will play host to a strong Marshall squad tonight at 7:30 at Firestone Field House in Malibu.
The Waves (6-5) are coming off a 63-60 loss to Connecticut in which they shot 33% from the field in the first half, 41% in the game.
Marshall (8-2) lost a road game Saturday night to Nevada Reno, 77-76. Pepperdine defeated Nevada Reno, 97-91, at Malibu Dec. 3.
The Thundering Herd is led by senior guard Skip Henderson, who has been averaging more than 21 points a game.
Last year Marshall, which finished with a 25-6 record, didn’t have a senior on its team and still won the Southern Conference regular-season and tournament championships.
