A 28-year-old man believed responsible for a series of bank robberies in Orange and Los Angeles counties was arrested Tuesday by Garden Grove police in a Bellflower motel.
Garden Grove Police Lt. Scott Hamilton said Mark Nevin Bowden was arrested without incident at the Artesia Motor Inn. Officers had followed Bowden’s girlfriend there, Hamilton said.
Bowden was being sought in connection with three bank robberies in Garden Grove in November and December, Hamilton said, adding that Bowden also is a suspect in nine other bank robberies in Orange County and three in Los Angeles.
Bowden is being held in the Orange County Jail, Hamilton said.
