Trevor Berbick, former World Boxing Council champion, pleaded not guilty to a charge of sexual assault.
Berbick, 35, elected trial by a county court judge without a jury on a charge that he sexually assaulted a teen-age girl in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in August 1985.
