Hidden from sight but within earshot of the courtroom, a San Jose city sewer worker accused of being the “Ski Mask Rapist” agreed to delay entering a plea on 107 felony counts for three weeks. George Anthony Sanchez, 26, who is accused of raping 26 women, was kept just out of sight of the courtroom. When asked if he agreed to waive an immediate plea so an attorney could be hired to defend him, Sanchez answered an audible “Yes.” Officials said Sanchez and co-defendant Antonio Rodriguez, 20, were hidden from spectators to “protect the integrity” of any future lineups.
