Fullerton Plays Sky-High UC Santa Barbara Tonight
Cal State Fullerton, still winless in Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. basketball play, will play host tonight to UC Santa Barbara, which upset Nevada Las Vegas Thursday night, becoming only the third team to beat the Rebels in the Thomas and Mack Center in its five-year history.
Fullerton (4-8 overall and 0-3 in the PCAA) has lost three straight games.
Santa Barbara (10-1, 2-0) defeated the Rebels, 62-60, breaking UNLV’s 21-game PCAA winning streak. The Gauchos’ only loss this season was to Stanford, 75-65.
Carrick DeHart leads the Gauchos in scoring with an average of 16 points a game, but Brian Shaw, a 6-foot 6-inch senior point guard averages 13.8 points and leads the PCAA in rebounding with 10.6 a game.
