The Los Angeles police bomb squad is investigating an explosion that destroyed a car early Sunday in Van Nuys, authorities said.
The incident occurred at 2:20 a.m. in the 14300 block of Runnymede Street, Officer Larry Judd said. He said no one was in the vehicle at the time of the blast.
