Gas Spill in Accident Closes Freeway Lanes
The eastbound lanes of the Foothill Freeway were temporarily closed Sunday night after a car accident spilled gasoline on the roadway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Details of the 9:10 p.m. accident were not available but Los Angeles Fire Department officials said two injured people were transported to area hospitals. CHP officers closed the freeway’s eastbound lanes between the Osborne Street exit and the Simi Valley-San Fernando Valley Freeway interchange during a cleanup of spilled fuel.
