Local News in Brief : Newport Beach : Builders to Install Officers at Banquet
The 65th annual installation banquet of the Southern California Builders Assn. will be held Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach.
State Sen. Marian Bergeson (R-Newport Beach) will act as installing officer for the new president, Paul Boardman, and other officers. State Sen. John Seymour (R-Anaheim) and Assemblyman Gil Ferguson (R-Newport Beach) will be masters of ceremony.
Guests will include Rep. William E. Dannemeyer (R-Fullerton) and other legislators and members of the Contractors State License Board, Orange County Board of Supervisors, city councils and area building departments.
The Southern California Builders Assn. was formed in 1923 to provide a common meeting ground for people in the building industry.
