Jimmy ‘the Greek’ Tells Us There’s Work to Do
I thought it was appropriate that Jimmy (the Greek) Snyder should blow it on the weekend marking the birth of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Obviously a man who harbors hateful, racist, vulgar notions about blacks, the Greek comes up broke and busted. An odds man caught at his own game, a game, ironically, of calling the odds on a lot of professional sports played by a lot of black men and women.
He is an unfortunately telling example of the work of Rev. King that remains to be done.
