The Los Angeles chapter of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Los Angeles, will host the Duke and Duchess of York at a special celebration of British comedy at the Bel Age Hotel on March 1, it was announced Friday by Peter Beale, board chairman of the group. Their Royal Highnesses will attend the special invitational luncheon as part of a visit to Los Angeles for the UK/LA ’88 Arts Festival, a celebration of the British arts. The event, co-sponsored by Thames Television, will be televised to the U.K.
