Share

The Santa Ana chapter of the League of United Latin American Citizens has chosen five Orange County Latino women to receive its ninth annual Hispanic Women Recognition Awards.

The awards recognize women who are successful in their careers and in community service work, according to Santa Ana LULAC president Zeke Hernandez. “We want to spotlight these women because they are meeting their goals, and we want to encourage others to do likewise,” he said.

Twenty women were nominated for the award by the Orange County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, teachers’ associations, school districts and other community groups, Hernandez said.
