UC San Diego Upsets CSUN in Volleyball

Playing without three of its starters, the Cal State Northridge men’s volleyball team was upset by host UC San Diego, 16-14, 11-15, 15-8, 2-15, 15-6 in a nonconference match Saturday night.

CSUN starters Ron Graening and Tom Ribarich were sidelined because of the flu and Andy Greskovics did not make the trip to UC San Diego.

Jeff Campbell led CSUN with 21 kills and a .356 hitting percentage. Raphael Tulino had 13 kills and a .303 hitting percentage for the ninth-ranked Matadors (3-6, 0-1 in Western Intercollegiate Volleyball Assn. play).
