Only two of Compton’s eight elected officials filed their year-end financial disclosure statements by the Jan. 31 deadline. Council members Maxcy D. Filer and Jane D. Robbins both reported that their standing political campaign committees neither received nor spent any money between July 1 and Dec. 31.
Officials missing the deadline were City Clerk Charles Davis, whose office collects the statements; City Atty. Wesley Fenderson Jr., who is charged with enforcing the deadline; Treasurer Wesley Sanders Jr.; Mayor Walter R. Tucker, and Councilmen Floyd A. James and Robert L. Adams.
