The new Disney-MGM Studio complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., got its first shakedown Wednesday night when a production crew filmed several scenes for the TV movie “Splash, Too” on a hastily completed set. It’s handy that Disney’s mammoth Epcot Center is right next door, too: some aquatic scenes for the “Splash” sequel were filmed at the nearby Living Seas and Discovery Island at the Magic Kingdom. But the studio itself doesn’t “officially” open until June, a Disney spokesman said Thursday.
