L.A. Police Patrols and Fatal Gang Shooting in Westwood

Share

In the barrio and the ghetto gang and drug warfare and the slaughter of innocents run rampant. But in order to receive additional police patrols, there must be major local community clamor, council debate, appeals by the mayor, budgetary hearings, etc. Even then, additional forces only seem to be forthcoming as part of a citywide increase.

When one bystander is killed in affluent Westwood, however, the very next day the police, with great fanfare, announce that they are tripling the patrol force there.

It gives one pause.
