CBS has set March 6 as the air date for “Side by Side,” a TV movie starring three of early television’s biggest stars: Milton Berle, Sid Caesar and Danny Thomas. The story casts them as three friends who team up to start a clothing business for senior citizens. Also in the film are Morey Amsterdam, Marjorie Lord, Michael Lembeck and Richard Klein.

William Shatner and Susan Blakely star as the parents of a teen-age girl who disappears following a gang shoot-out at her prom in “Best Intentions,” a TV movie that is due to be broadcast on ABC in March. Erica Eleniak plays the daughter and Jason Horst is her brother.

Karl Malden and Keith Carradine have the title roles in “My Father, My Son,” a dramatization of the book by Adm. Elmo R. Zumwalt Jr. and Elmo R. Zumwalt III. The movie for CBS tells the story of how the elder Zumwalt ordered the use of Agent Orange in Vietnam, then saw his son contract cancer, which the younger Zumwalt attributes to his exposure to the toxic defoliant while stationed in Vietnam.
