Attorney Marvin Mitchelson and three other well-known lawyers have been hired as advisers for a new syndicated TV series, “On Trial.” Executive producer Woody Fraser said the group was assembled to maintain “a high standard of professional integrity and legal accuracy” on the show, which will present simulated courtroom trials. The other advisers will be Howard L. Weitzman, who successfully defended auto-maker John DeLorean; Gerry Spence, who won a $1.38-million out-of-court settlement from Kerr-McGee Laboratories in the Karen Silkwood case; and former Los Angeles deputy district attorney Vincent Bugliosi, author of “Helter Skelter,” an account of the Charles Manson trial.
