Three Lakewood City Council members seeking reelection will be competing against two challengers in the April 12 municipal election.
Mayor Marc F. Titel, 38, a purchasing manager for the Automobile Club of Southern California, is seeking his second term. Councilman Robert G. Wagner, 49, an aerospace engineer, is seeking his third term. Councilman Wayne E. Piercy, 56, principal of Poly High School in Long Beach, is seeking his first full term. He was elected by a special vote last year to fill the unexpired term of Councilman Paul Zeltner, who was elected to the Assembly.
The challengers are Norman McComb, 46, a maintenance worker, and Jack C. Guarino, 53, a contractor who ran unsuccessfully for the council in 1984.
