Local News in Brief : Bradley Due Back Today
Mayor Tom Bradley is due back in Los Angeles today from his first overseas trip of 1988--a five-day jaunt to West Germany to promote business at the city’s airports.
First stop was Frankfurt to meet with the U.S.-German Chamber of Commerce and with airport officials there.
Then Bradley made his second trip to West Berlin in less than a year. Last April he went to Berlin for that city’s birthday, and Bradley met there Wednesday with the lord mayor of Berlin, attended a dinner with the commandant of U.S. forces and sat for an interview on the U.S. Armed Forces Network.
In the past year Bradley has also traveled on city business to the Far East, Israel and Africa.
