Astral Bellevue Pathe Inc., a Canadian entertainment company, said Wednesday that it has acquired Canadian rights in all media to director David Cronenberg’s film “Twins” for the highest amount ever paid for distribution rights in Canada--well over $1 million. Cronenberg is known for horror films such as “The Fly” and “Scanners.” “Twins” will be distributed by 20th Century Fox in the United States and stars Jeremy Irons and Genevieve Bujold.
