The Irvine Symphony has canceled its Feb. 20 performance at the South Coast Community Auditorium in Irvine. The concert, to have been the last of three in an “Almost Mozart” series, was canceled because of poor advance ticket sales--as was the second concert which was scheduled for Jan. 23.

Pianist Charles Rosen’s recital in the Irvine Symphony’s “Up Close” series at the South Coast Community Church has been rescheduled to March 11 from March 13.

Rosen also will be soloist in Beethoven’s Concerto No. 5 in E-flat, “Emperor,” with Roger Hickman and the Irvine Symphony on March 15 at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. This is a change from the originally announced program of Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-flat. Bartok’s Concerto for Orchestra will complete the program, as scheduled.
