Plans have been announced for a long-term residence for homeless people in San Francisco with AIDS and AIDS-related complex, which will be opened in the Western Addition in July. “This will be a permanent home for those who choose to come here,” said Msgr. Francis A. Lacey, speaking for the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, which will provide and run the facility. “If they require hospitalization, we will keep their room reserved for them as long as there is any hope they will be returning.”
