Center Mike Webster, the last active Pittsburgh Steeler with four Super Bowl rings, said he is retiring after 14 years with the team. Webster, 35, the team’s oldest player and the offensive captain, said he notified the Steelers of his decision Friday but declined further comment.
Wide receiver John Stallworth and safety Donnie Shell, who also joined the team in 1974 and participated in all four championships in the 70s, retired in January.
