4 Arrested at Suspected Methamphetamine Lab

Four people, including two teen-age girls, were arrested early Friday at the site of a suspected methamphetamine laboratory in Vista, where an acid bomb was also discovered.

San Diego County sheriff’s detectives and state parole agents who were serving a warrant for a parole violation at 1262 Grandview Road at 7:30 a.m. found what appeared to be a methamphetamine lab and notified Narcotics Task Force agents, sheriff’s authorities said. The task force agents later found a bomb in a shed, along with other chemicals, and called in the sheriff’s bomb and arson squad to investigate, authorities said.

The bomb experts dismantled a large chemical acid bomb, Sheriff’s Sgt. Conrad Grayson said.

Four suspects were arrested at the residence in conncection with the bomb and alleged drug-making. One, Robin Scott Jocobsen, a 28-year-old parolee, was also arrested on suspicion of violation of parole. He was also booked on suspicion of possession of firearms, possession and control of a methamphetamine lab, manufacturing methamphetamine, and possession of a destructive device.

Also arrested were Jerri Ross, 35, on suspicion of possession and manufacture of methamphetamine; Dana Ross, 18, on suspicion of possession and manufacture of methamphetamine, and a female juvenile who was arrested on suspicion of possession and manufacture of methamphetamine.

Sheriff’s detectives are continuing their investigation.
