Fluor Daniel, a construction subsidiary of Irvine-based Fluor Corp., has been awarded a $32.8-million contract by pharmaceutical giant Bristol-Myers Co. for a new manufacturing plant in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Construction of the three-story, 280,000-square-foot facility has begun and is scheduled for completion in March of 1989, according to Fluor spokesman Rick Maslin. Fluor is an international engineering and construction company with investments in coal and lead.
