Dun & Bradstreet Corp. has agreed to buy Interactive Data Corp., a securities research firm owned by Chase Manhattan Corp., for $140 million in cash. The sale is expected to be completed by the end of March, New York-based Chase Manhattan said. It declined to confirm Dun & Bradstreet’s figure for the Interactive Data sales price. Interactive Data, which is based in Lexington, Mass., is a leading provider of historical securities information and related analytical services. It posted revenue of $85 million in 1987.
