Local News in Brief : Court Order Shields Homes From Gangs
A Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner Thursday extended a temporary restraining order that prohibits gang members from intimidating and harassing residents of a Burbank neighborhood.
The order, extended until mid-April, was issued last week as a response to neighbors in the 1200 block of Brighton Street who complained that members of the gang North Hollywood Boyz had been congregating for at least two months at a home on the block.
A hearing to consider a preliminary injunction on the matter was to be held before Commissioner H. George Taylor on Thursday but was rescheduled for April 14.
