Man Sentenced to Prison for Threats Against Pope

CORPUS CHRISTI, Tex. —
A man convicted on two misdemeanor counts of threatening to kill Pope John Paul II has been sentenced to six months in federal prison and five years of probation. Eddie Serrato Vasquez, 27, of Corpus Christi, was sentenced for threatening the Pope during his visit to San Antonio on Sept. 13.
