The Washington-based National Symphony orchestra and music director Mstislav Rostropovich have been selected as guest orchestra for the Casals Festival in San Juan, P.R. One orchestra each year is invited to participate in the world-renowned festival. The orchestra also had been invited to perform in 1987. While in Puerto Rico, the orchestra will perform four concerts at the Sala de Festivales on June 14-17. It also has plans to tour Greece in August.
