A 59-year-old Woodland Hills man died while being flown to San Diego for medical aid after a motorcycle accident in Baja California. The victim was participating in the third annual La Carrera motorcycle race from Ensenada to San Felipe, said San Diego County Deputy Coroner Robert Engels. The victim was evacuated from the race site by air ambulance but apparently went into cardiopulmonary arrest during the flight, Engels said. The victim was pronounced dead at 1:15 p.m. at Brown Field. Engels said there were no obvious injuries on the body to indicate the cause of death. The man’s name is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
