Making a Splash
The unsigned article, “Project Makes a Splash” (Feb. 28), about the proposed Santa Monica “water garden,” provoked me to reply.
Make A Splash, according to the dictionary, means “to attract great, often brief attention by doing something striking, spectacular or ostentatious.”
The author of this article hit the nail on the head. This 1,370,717-square-foot complex has indeed made its splash, and soon my once quiet, uncongested and relatively pollution-free neighborhood will come away soaking wet.
