Lazers Can Tighten Hold on 2nd Place
The Lazers, in sole possession of second place after winning their last two games, hope to improve their playoff chances tonight in a game against the Wichita Wings at Wichita.
Although the game is important for the Lazers, who lead the Tacoma Stars and Kansas City Comets by a half-game in the Major Indoor Soccer League’s Western Division race for postseason play, it is more so for the fifth-place Wings (19-26), who are 3 1/2 games out of a playoff spot with 11 games to play.
The Lazers (23-22) are 2-2 against the Wings this season, having beaten them, 7-3, in their last meeting, Feb. 25, at the Forum.
