Beverly Hills : $240,000 Raised for Schools
The Beverly Hills Education Foundation raised an estimated $240,000 from its “Monte Carlo Madness” school fund-raiser on March 16, said Murray D. Fischer, the group’s president.
More than 800 people attended the dinner at the Beverly Hilton, which featured casino-style gambling and a raffle drawing for a 1988 BMW convertible.
The proceeds will be given to the Beverly Hills Unified School District to put toward its 1988-89 budget.
