A man accused of being Los Angeles County’s “impostor rapist,” who told victims he was an undercover policeman, pleaded no contest to kidnap, robbery and escape charges in Oregon.

Terrance Westfall, 29, will face a term of 25 to 50 years in prison and up to $300,000 in fines when he is sentenced next Wednesday by Circuit Judge Jon Lund in Hillsboro, Ore.

In exchange for his no-contest pleas, prosecutors dropped charges of rape, sodomy, attempted rape, sexual abuse and assault.

Westfall now can be moved to Los Angeles within a few weeks to face 61 charges stemming from assaults on 13 women, aged 13 to 50, in several communities, Washington County Deputy Dist. Atty. Robert Heard said.

After standing trial in Los Angeles, he would be returned to Oregon to serve his sentence before serving any California sentence, Heard said.

The Oregon charges stemmed from sexual attacks on two Hillsboro women last September and a Feb. 12 escape from the Washington County Jail.
