The Commission of the Californias closes a three-day meeting today in Newport Beach. Gov. George Deukmejian and the Mexican governors of Baja California and Baja California Sur, Gov. Xicotenactl Leyva Mortera and Gov. Victor M. Liceaga Ruibal, attended the opening of the conference, which is focusing on the promotion of trade between California and Mexico. Other topics include education, agriculture, economic development, tourism, health, drug abuse and the environment.
