Surrealist artist Salvador Dali donated his painting “The Birth of a Goddess” to Jordi Pujol, the president of the autonomous Catalan government, when Pujol visited the artist on Monday. Pujol told journalists that the painting, completed in 1960, will hang in the Catalan government palace at Barcelona. Pujol spoke with the 83-year-old Dali for about 30 minutes and said he found the artist well and able to express himself clearly despite his poor health.
