About 40 detectives interviewed people at the Yucca Valley Swap Meet in a search for people who might have seen 8-year-old Sylvia Mangos before she was abducted and slain. Detectives spoke with visitors and vendors at the swap meet, as well as business owners in the immediate vicinity, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Lt. Mike Stodelle said. The girl disappeared March 27 during a trip with her parents to the weekend swap meet at the Sky Drive-In, Stodelle said. The body of the girl, a Twentynine Palms resident, was found in the desert near Landers a week ago.
