LOS ANGELES — A Mission Viejo man who owns a firm that produces telephone switching equipment entered guilty pleas Monday to federal charges of income tax evasion, federal prosecutors said.
John H. Fuller, 53, chief executive officer of Plant Equipment Inc. of Temecula in Riverside County, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge William J. Rea in Los Angeles.
Fuller was accused of creating a dummy firm that sent $100,000 in invoices to Plant Equipment in 1981-83, Assistant U.S. Atty. George B. Newhouse Jr. said.
Fuller ordered the payments, which ended up in Fuller’s personal checking account, according to the charges.
Fuller faces up to five years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for May 23.
