As a working, first-time mother, I am appalled at the early morning weekday children’s programs. Most children are up between 6-7:30 a.m. The few cartoons which are on at that time of morning are scary, violent and repulsive. Where are the educational shows and the “cute” creative shows such as “Zoobilee Zoo”? And why no early Sunday morning children’s shows? Do the television stations really think young children know they are supposed to sleep later on Sunday morning?
